In October, around 260,000 plugin vehicles were officially registered in Europe, reflecting a substantial 24% increase compared to the same period last year. While the overall automotive market also experienced double-digit growth at 14%, it still lags behind the benchmark set in October 2019, which was the last month considered normal for the market. Notably, plugin vehicles commanded a 25% share of the overall European auto market in the previous month, with pure electric vehicles (BEVs) contributing 16% to this figure. This robust performance maintains the 2023 plugin vehicle share at 23%, with BEVs alone accounting for 16%.
