2027 Audi Lineup: A8 Continues, e-tron GT Range Shrinks, and Minor Updates Across Models

Audi has revealed its 2027 model lineup for the U.S., with the flagship A8 sedan surviving for another year and most other models receiving minor updates. The e-tron GT range is streamlined, while several models see new packages, features, and price adjustments.

A8 and S8: Flagship Sedans Continue with Subtle Changes

The 2027 Audi A8 L returns to the American market, maintaining its position as the brand’s flagship sedan. Priced at $95,100 (~AUD 137,159), the A8 L remains largely unchanged, with the only update being two newly optional 21-inch wheels for the Black Optic package. These wheels feature a Y-spoke design available in either matte neodymium gold or a darkened bicolor finish.

The S8, starting at $130,000 (~AUD 187,494), now comes standard with heated rear seats and offers a new wheel option for the Black Optic package.

A5 and S5: Trim Simplification and New Packages

For 2027, the Audi A5 lineup has been reduced to a single trim. A new Sport Plus package brings an S Line exterior, adaptive sport suspension, red brake calipers, and 20-inch wheels with summer tires. Inside, the package includes diamond quilted front sport seats in leather and Dinamica upholstery, a flat-bottom steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, matte brushed aluminum trim, Express Red stitching, and red edging on the seat belts.

Standalone options for the A5 now include a panoramic glass roof with variable light control and an S sport suspension that lowers the ride height by 0.8 inches (20 mm). The S5 receives a new Vorsprung package, adding digital OLED taillights, adaptive sport suspension, a 10.9-inch front passenger display, heated rear seats, rear side sunshades, park assist pro, and a surround view camera system with a 3D view. Pricing for the A5 starts at $50,400 (~AUD 72,690), while the S5 begins at $63,600 (~AUD 91,728).

A6: Small Comfort and Interior Updates

The 2027 Audi A6 is now priced at $64,900 (~AUD 93,603). Standard features now include a heated steering wheel and a surround view camera system. Audi has also introduced ‘newly configured headliner pairings, including a black headliner for black and brown interiors while a gray headliner is retained for beige interiors.’ Package options have been revised as well.

Q3: Minor Equipment Upgrades

Following its redesign for 2026, the 2027 Audi Q3 receives minor updates. Standard equipment now includes a ‘direct tire pressure monitoring system for improved awareness’ and Adaptive Rear Assist, which can automatically apply the brakes if a rear-end collision is imminent.

A newly configurated Convenience package groups popular features such as a heated steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, a 3-month trial of SiriusXM, Park Assist, and a surround view camera system. The Driver Assistance package now offers a head-up display, park assist pro with remote function, and trained parking. Pricing for the Q3 starts at $44,400 (~AUD 64,036).

Q8, SQ8, and RS Q8: Wheel and Feature Tweaks

The 2027 Audi Q8 now comes standard with an S Line exterior and new 21-inch wheels. The Black Optic package can be paired with new 22-inch wheels featuring a matte neodymium gold finish. The SQ8 offers newly optional 23-inch wheels with a black metallic finish when ordered with the Black Optic package.

The RS Q8 performance model gains newly standard dual-pane acoustic side glass. Pricing for the Q8 family starts at $76,900 (~AUD 110,910) and goes up to $139,700 (~AUD 201,484) for the top variant.

e-tron GT: Range Streamlined

Audi has dropped the entry-level S e-tron GT for 2027, leaving only the RS e-tron GT performance in the lineup. This model is priced at $170,500 (~AUD 245,906) and ‘carries forward nearly unchanged, save a high-gloss black Singleframe grille being added to the Forged carbon package.’

Why this matters

Audi’s 2027 lineup reflects a strategy of incremental updates rather than major overhauls, with the A8 continuing despite speculation about its discontinuation. The focus on new packages and minor feature enhancements across the range suggests Audi is aiming to keep its models competitive without significant redesigns.

The streamlining of trims and the removal of entry-level options, particularly for the e-tron GT, indicate a shift toward higher-value offerings and simplified ordering for buyers.

What this means for buyers

Buyers considering a 2027 Audi can expect familiar models with modest updates and some new customization options, especially in wheels and interior finishes. Those interested in the e-tron GT will now have only the RS performance model to choose from, at a higher price point.

With price increases across several models and a focus on premium features, shoppers should compare the new packages and standard equipment closely to determine the best value for their needs.
