Built on an 800-volt high-voltage platform, which Buick describes as the “safest in the industry,” the Electra L7 BEV supports 6C ultra-fast charging across all trims. A 10-minute charge can add 450 km (~280 miles) of range, while DC fast charging enables the battery to go from 30% to 80% in 9 minutes and from 10% to 80% in 11.5 minutes.
The vehicle is powered by an 80.6-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery from CATL, delivering a CLTC range of 702 km (~436 miles). Its single rear-mounted motor produces 282 kW (378 hp) and 382 Nm of torque, allowing 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h.

Inside, the Electra L7 BEV features a Qualcomm SA8775P chip, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central display, a 50-inch panoramic augmented-reality head-up display, and a 27-speaker Buick Sound audio system.
The driver-assistance system is based on Momenta’s R6 reinforcement-learning model, with the R7 version to be delivered via over-the-air update. The entry-level version does not include advanced driver-assistance features, while the other two trims are equipped with 1 LiDAR, 3 millimeter-wave radars, and 7 high-definition cameras.
A ‘Magic Carpet’ suspension system previews the road up to 20 meters ahead, detecting potholes and speed bumps for a smoother ride.

The Electra L7 BEV measures 5,032 mm (~198 inches) in length, 1,952 mm (~77 inches) in width, and 1,499 mm (~59 inches) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm (~118 inches). This places it in the mid-to-large sedan segment in China.
