Chinese media claim Tesla has cut car production amidst ‘EV bloodbath’

According to a report from Bloomberg today, citing sources familiar with the matter, Tesla has scaled back production of electric vehicles (EVs) at its China factory due to sluggish growth in new energy-vehicle (NEV) sales and intensified competition in the market. The report states that Tesla has directed employees at its Shanghai plant to trim production of the Model Y and Model 3 by transitioning to a five-day workweek instead of the customary 6.5 days.
