In March, the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Australia reached a record high for the second consecutive month, surpassing 10,000 sales. However, despite this milestone, the EV market share experienced a slight decline due to the simultaneous surge in sales of internal combustion engine vehicles. The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) released sales data indicating that EV sales in March totaled 10,464 units. Notably, this figure does not include an additional 84 sales of the Polestar 2, as its parent company has withdrawn from the FCAI due to disagreements over vehicle emissions standards.
