Fossil-fuels DESTROYED in Germany as renewable energy soars

In a record-breaking start to 2024, renewable energy accounted for 58.4% of all electricity generated in Germany during Q1, the highest percentage since tracking began in 2018. Germany generated an impressive 121.5 billion kilowatt hours from renewable sources, marking an 11.6% increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, electricity production from fossil-fuel sources dropped by 25.4%, contributing only 41.6% to Germany’s total electricity output.
