Geely Galaxy TT Pre-Sale Opens in China, Priced From $21,593 (~AUD 30,566), With CATL Custom Battery and 800V Platform

Geely has launched pre-sales for its new Galaxy TT electric sedan in China, offering advanced battery technology and a high-voltage platform at a competitive price. The Galaxy TT features a custom CATL battery, Geely’s 16-in-1 electric drive, and a range of comfort and tech features aimed at the mid-size EV segment.

Pre-Sale Pricing and Trim Options

The Geely Galaxy TT is now available for pre-order in China, with prices ranging from $21,593 (~AUD 30,566) to $25,145 (~AUD 35,594). Three trims are offered: the 540 RWD at $21,593 (~AUD 30,566), the 540 RWD Noble at $23,073 (~AUD 32,661), and the 640 RWD Flagship at $25,145 (~AUD 35,594). A limited TT Ultra four-wheel-drive edition, capped at 999 units, was previously released at a pre-sale price of $31,050 (~AUD 43,952).

Design and Technology Features

The Galaxy TT stands out with its closed front grille, L-shaped headlights, and a three-section lower grille. It includes a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and supports the G-ASD G-Pilot (Qianli Haohan) H7 driver assistance system. A speed-adaptive electric rear wing is also standard.

The car measures 4,999 mm (~197 inches) long, 1,919 mm (~76 inches) wide, and 1,479 mm (~58 inches) high, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm (~115 inches). The fastback silhouette, double five-spoke wheels, and semi-hidden door handles contribute to its modern look. Buyers can select from eight exterior colours, including Maldives Sunny Blue and Reykjavik Morning Mist Silver.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the ‘Spring Breeze’ cockpit is available in four colour schemes such as Bordeaux Pure Red and Zurich Soft Sand. The cabin is powered by the Flyme Auto 2nd Generation system and Geely’s ‘Dragon Eagle No. 1’ intelligent cockpit chip. Key features include a digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen, and an AR-HUD for three-screen connectivity.

Comfort is enhanced with 14-point AI massaging, ventilated, and heated seats. A 1.97 square meter panoramic glass roof adds to the spacious feel. The interior also offers 37 storage spaces, magnetic expansion points, and a star-inspired ‘Boost’ button on the steering wheel.

Performance and Charging

The Galaxy TT is built on a standard full-domain 800V high-voltage platform and uses a custom CATL Shenxing TT battery. Two powertrain options are available: an all-wheel drive version with 425 kW (568 hp) and a rear-wheel drive version with 245 kW (329 hp).

The CATL battery debuts NP3.0 thermal runaway protection safety technology. Thanks to the 800V platform and a 6C charging rate, the Galaxy TT can add over 400 km (~249 miles) of range in just 11 minutes.

Why this matters

The launch of the Geely Galaxy TT brings advanced battery safety and rapid charging technology to a wider audience in China’s EV market. With its combination of high-voltage architecture, custom CATL battery, and comfort-focused interior, the Galaxy TT aims to set a new standard for mid-size electric sedans.

What this means for buyers

Buyers in China looking for a technologically advanced electric sedan now have a new option with the Geely Galaxy TT. With competitive pricing, fast charging, and a feature-rich interior, the Galaxy TT is positioned as a strong contender in its segment. Prospective customers should consider pre-ordering to secure early access, especially for higher-spec trims.
