Germany had its lowest emissions in 70 years after coal hit a record low

According to an analysis by the Fraunhofer ISE research institute, Germany witnessed a significant decline in lignite power production last year, reaching its lowest point since 1963. Simultaneously, the production of power from hard coal also plummeted to its lowest level since 1955.
