Germany spends years doping Sodium-ion batteries to improve performance

There remain several weaknesses in sodium-ion batteries that could be addressed through the optimization of battery materials. One potential solution involves doping the cathode material with foreign elements. A research team from HZB and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin has recently studied the impacts of doping with scandium and magnesium.
