Expressing disappointment over this year’s Electric Vehicle (EV) production constraints, General Motors (GM) CEO Mary Barra remains optimistic about fostering EV adoption with the introduction of new, affordable models such as the Equinox and Bolt. In the wake of unveiling a groundbreaking $10 billion buyback initiative, GM’s stock witnessed a notable surge on Wednesday. Additionally, the company disclosed plans to elevate dividends by 33% while concurrently implementing substantial spending reductions on Cruise.
