Leapmotor Delivers 103,129 Vehicles Globally in August, Sets New Monthly Record

Leapmotor has reported global deliveries of 103,129 vehicles in August, surpassing the 100,000 mark for the second month in a row. The company continues its record-setting streak, achieving its highest monthly deliveries for the fifth consecutive month. Despite the strong year-on-year growth, the pace of monthly gains has slowed.

August Deliveries Reach New High

Leapmotor (HKEX: 9863) delivered 103,129 vehicles worldwide in August, marking the second straight month above the 100,000 threshold. This achievement also represents the fifth consecutive month of record deliveries for the company.

Deliveries in August rose 80.72% compared to the same month last year. However, sequential growth slowed to 1.84% from 8.45% in July, making it the weakest monthly pace since March.

Progress Toward Annual Target

In the first eight months of 2026, Leapmotor delivered a total of 560,883 vehicles, up 70.55% year-on-year. This figure represents about 56.1% of the company’s full-year goal of 1 million vehicles.

To reach its annual target, Leapmotor needs to deliver another 439,117 vehicles in the remaining four months, averaging about 109,779 vehicles per month.

New Models and Technology Initiatives

Leapmotor launched the A05 compact sedan on August 11, with a starting price of $9,486 (~AUD 13,241). The A05 is the second model on the company’s A platform, following the A10.

At the Chengdu Auto Show in August, Leapmotor celebrated the delivery of the 100,000th A10 to its owner. The company is also preparing for its annual technology event on September 16, where it will unveil a new world-model-based assisted-driving system and advancements in battery and electric-drive technologies.

Promotions and Overseas Expansion

In September, Leapmotor introduced a limited-time promotion offering combined incentives worth up to $8,518 (~AUD 11,890), covering vehicle options, charging, and financing.

The company continues to expand internationally, with the B10 and C10 global models entering Argentina in August. Leapmotor is working with Stellantis to develop local sales and service networks in overseas markets.

Strategic Partnerships

Leapmotor recently signed an agreement with China FAW to deepen their strategic partnership. The two companies plan to collaborate in 10 areas, further strengthening Leapmotor’s position in the industry.

Why this matters

Leapmotor’s sustained delivery growth highlights its rising status among global new energy vehicle brands. Ranking among the top four global NEV brands and the top three in China, the company is making significant progress toward its ambitious annual target.

The introduction of new models, technology upgrades, and international expansion efforts demonstrate Leapmotor’s commitment to maintaining momentum in a competitive market.

What this means for buyers

Buyers can expect continued innovation from Leapmotor, including new models and advanced assisted-driving features. The current promotion offers substantial incentives for those considering a purchase in September.

With Leapmotor expanding its presence in overseas markets and strengthening partnerships, customers may also see improved service networks and more choices in the near future.
