The construction of a 500MW solar farm, along with a substantial eight-hour big battery, in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales is currently undergoing a joint assessment by the federal and state governments. The project, known as the Richmond Valley Solar Farm, has been submitted for approval under the EPBC Act. Ark Energy, the developer, has announced its efforts to revise the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to align with the expanded federal environmental standards.
