Powertrain and Performance

The MG 07 is offered in both BEV and PHEV variants. The BEV models are built on an 800V platform and use a permanent magnet synchronous front drive motor. Depending on the configuration, maximum power is either 176 kW (236 hp) or 235 kW (315 hp), with peak torque of 300 N·m or 350 N·m. Battery options include 67 kWh and 91 kWh packs, delivering pure electric ranges of 610 km (~379 miles), 650 km (~404 miles), or 845 km (~525 miles).

The PHEV version features a 1.5L engine producing 82 kW (110 hp) and a drive motor with 152 kW (204 hp). It offers a CLTC pure electric range of 245 km (~152 miles) and a power-depleted fuel consumption of 2.91L per 100 km. When fully charged and fueled, the MG 07 PHEV can achieve a combined CLTC range of up to 1,745 km (~1,084 miles).

Battery Technology

The two MG 07 models with a 610 km (~379 miles) range use liquid-solid (semi-solid) batteries supplied by Qingtao, as seen on the MG 4 Anxin Edition. All other MG 07 models, whether pure electric or hybrid, are equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from CATL.

Pricing and Availability

Official guidance prices for the MG 07 range from $16,143 (~AUD 22,716) to $23,703 (~AUD 33,355). Pre-sales for the EV versions began at the end of July, starting at $18,663 (~AUD 26,263). According to MG, deliveries for the 650 km (~404 miles) range versions are scheduled to begin at the end of August, while the 845 km (~525 miles) range versions will be delivered in October.
