Sakshi Agrawal, a Tesla owner, pleaded guilty to charges of dangerous driving and failing to stop after crashing into pedestrian Nicole Lagos. Agrawal falsely attributed the incident to the vehicle’s “autopilot” feature. The County Court of Victoria heard that Agrawal was driving a Tesla Model 3 when the collision occurred at around 6:30 am on March 22, 2022, on Wattletree Road in Armadale, an inner south-eastern suburb of Melbourne. Lagos, a nurse on her way to work, was struck while stepping onto the road to board a tram.
