Tesla sold amazing 350,000 EVs in Europe, but sales fell 9% in Germany

In 2023, new passenger vehicle registrations in Germany saw a 7.3% increase, reaching 2,844,609 cars. However, for the fourth consecutive year, the total German new car market fell short of the four million vehicle mark. Battery-electric car sales showed a moderate increase slightly higher than the market average, achieving an 18.4% share of the total market. Meanwhile, the average CO2 emissions of new cars sold in Germany in 2023 rose by 5%.
