Since September 2023, a team of 300 staff has been actively working daily at a construction site in Flushing, the Netherlands. They are constructing caissons, which are watertight structures. Each caisson requires three months to build and is a crucial element for the construction of Princess Elisabeth Island, the world’s inaugural artificial energy island.
