Lynk & Co, a Geely brand, is set to introduce an updated version of its 02 fastback crossover in China during the third quarter of 2026. The new model, which will be sold domestically as the Lynk & Co 20, brings significant upgrades including an 800V high-voltage system and a LiDAR-based assisted driving system.

Key Upgrades for the 2026 Lynk & Co 02
The updated Lynk & Co 02 will feature an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, enabling 6C direct current charging. This technology allows the battery to receive power at a rate six times greater than its capacity, significantly reducing charging times.
A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor will be included, supporting advanced assisted driving capabilities. The model will also receive a refreshed exterior with new bumpers and a sporty roof spoiler.

Assisted Driving and Performance
The updated 02 will offer a LiDAR-based assisted driving system. The G-Pilot H5 system uses dual Nvidia Drive Orin chips for 508 TOPS of computing power, while the G-Pilot H7 system features a single Nvidia Thor AGX processor with a peak of 700 TOPS.
The G-ASD G-Pilot H7 system supports Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) for both urban and highway driving, as well as D2D parking, which enables autonomous navigation through complex parking environments and recognition of highway and parking lot gates.
Design and Powertrain Details
The updated Lynk & Co 02 measures 4,495 mm (~177 inches) in length, 1,845 mm (~73 inches) in width, and 1,573 mm (~62 inches) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755 mm (~108 inches).
It is equipped with a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 245 kW (329 hp), powered by an LFP battery. The exact battery capacity for the updated model has not been disclosed.

Current Model Overview
The Lynk & Co 02 electric car was first launched in China in December 2024 as the Lynk & Co Z20. According to China EV DataTracker, cumulative domestic deliveries of the Z20 have reached 47,723 units.
The current Z20 offers two battery options—51.2 kWh and 61.47 kWh—and two electric motor variants rated at 175 kW (235 hp) and 250 kW (335 hp). Pricing for the existing model ranges from $16,184 (~AUD 23,335) to $22,222 (~AUD 32,041).
Why this matters
The introduction of 800V charging and LiDAR-based assisted driving in the updated Lynk & Co 02 highlights the rapid technological advancements in China’s EV market. Faster charging and enhanced driver assistance features are increasingly important to consumers, and Lynk & Co’s upgrades position the 02 as a competitive option in the segment.
What this means for buyers
Buyers considering the Lynk & Co 02 can expect significant improvements in charging speed and assisted driving technology with the upcoming update. Those interested in the latest features may want to wait for the Q3 2026 launch, while current models remain available with established battery and motor options.
