Employees at Volkswagen’s Tennessee factory have submitted a request for a union election, as the United Auto Workers (UAW) presses forward with its campaign across various U.S. facilities. Last month, the UAW disclosed that a majority of workers at the Chattanooga plant in Tennessee had signed union cards. On Monday, the union posted on its website that employees at the facility have officially lodged a petition with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to join the UAW.
