There exists a humorous misconception suggesting that a substantial portion, if not the majority, of electricity in the USA comes from coal. Critics of electric vehicles often claim that EVs rely heavily on coal power. While this might have been true a decade or two ago, the landscape has significantly changed. Coal’s role as a source of electricity in the United States has considerably diminished, and in recent months, it falls short of even matching the combined contributions of solar and wind power.
