Xiaomi Auto has announced a major step toward its European expansion, revealing plans to officially enter Germany and other European markets in 2027. The announcement was made during the media day at IFA Berlin 2026, where Xiaomi Auto also signed agreements with eight prominent German automotive dealer groups.
Xiaomi Auto Partners with Leading German Dealers
At IFA Berlin 2026, Xiaomi Auto signed memorandums of understanding with eight major German dealer groups. These include Ernst Dello GmbH & Co. KG, Autohaus Dinnebier GmbH, Emil Frey Germany, Fett & Wirtz Automobile GmbH & Co. KG, Hahn Automobile GmbH + Co. KG, LUEG Mobility GmbH, Penske-Jacobs Innovation GmbH, and SPT Avior SE & Co. KG.
Among these, LUEG was Germany’s first authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer, while Emil Frey is recognised as one of Europe’s largest automotive dealer groups. These partnerships mark the first step in building Xiaomi Auto’s retail and after-sales service network in Europe.
Commitment to Europe and Local Partnerships
Yu Liguo, vice president of Xiaomi Auto and head of its international business, emphasised the company’s dedication to the region, stating, “Xiaomi Auto is committed to long-term investment in Europe.” Yu also highlighted that local partnerships are central to Xiaomi Auto’s European strategy, with plans to recruit additional partners across the continent as the 2027 launch approaches.
Xiaomi Auto already operates a European R&D centre in Munich, supporting its efforts to deliver innovative products and high-quality service to European customers.
Xiaomi Auto’s Recent Milestones and Upcoming Models
Since the start of deliveries in March 2024, Xiaomi has delivered more than 700,000 vehicles in mainland China. The Xiaomi SU7 series alone surpassed 500,000 deliveries in 28.5 months, while the Xiaomi YU7 achieved over 240,000 firm orders within just 18 hours of its launch.
In July, Xiaomi Auto introduced the Xiaomi Skynomad series, with the official debut of the SkyNomad models scheduled for September 7. The company has also launched a global website and official international social-media channels to support its overseas expansion.
Showcasing Innovation at IFA Berlin
At IFA Berlin, Xiaomi Auto is presenting its ‘Human x Car x Home’ smart ecosystem, alongside new projects such as the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept. The exhibition is open to the public from September 4 to September 8.
