The Zeekr 7 GT, Geely’s electric estate, has secured a five-star rating in the all-new 2026 Euro NCAP crash test. This result highlights the model’s performance across multiple safety categories as it expands its presence in Europe. The 7 GT, known as the 007 GT in China, was launched earlier this year at the Brussels Motor Show.

Strong Safety Scores in Euro NCAP Testing
The Zeekr 7 GT earned high marks in the 2026 Euro NCAP crash test, achieving five stars overall. The vehicle scored 79% in the Safe Driving category, with features such as a manual switch for front passenger airbag deactivation and detection of some incorrect driver’s seatbelt routing. However, most functions are controlled via the center screen, which could potentially distract the driver.
In the Crash Avoidance segment, the 7 GT received an 89% score. It is equipped with an advanced driver’s assistance system, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and a feature that prevents doors from opening into the path of approaching cyclists.
Crash Protection and Post-Crash Safety
The Zeekr 7 GT scored 93% in the Crash Protection category. It provided good or adequate safety for all occupants in the frontal offset test and achieved maximum points for child protection in the rear seats. The car also scored full points in side impact tests.
In the Post Crash Safety category, the 7 GT achieved a 95% score. While it lacks the Third Party Service (TPS) eCall system, the model features manually operated door handles, and the doors remained openable after all crash tests.
Technical Specifications and Platform
Built on the PMA2+ platform, the Zeekr 7 GT measures 4,817 mm (~190 inches) in length, 1,910 mm (~75 inches) in width, and 1,456 mm (~57 inches) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm (~114 inches). This makes it 55 mm (~2 inches) longer than the Audi A4.
The 7 GT is available with 75 kWh and 100 kWh battery options, offering a WLTP range of 519–655 km (~323–407 miles). Charging from 10% to 80% can be completed in 13 minutes at up to 450 kW.
Performance Variants
The rear-wheel drive (RWD) version features a single electric motor on the rear axle, delivering 310 kW (416 hp) and accelerating to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. The all-wheel drive (AWD) variant uses two motors for a combined 475 kW (637 hp), reaching 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.
Top-trim models come equipped with air suspension, sporty brakes, and electrically powered doors.
Why this matters
The Zeekr 7 GT’s five-star Euro NCAP rating demonstrates its strong safety performance in a competitive segment. High scores across crash protection, avoidance, and post-crash safety categories provide reassurance for buyers prioritizing occupant and road user safety.
With its advanced safety features and rapid charging capability, the 7 GT stands out as a notable option among electric estates available in Europe and China.
What this means for buyers
Buyers considering the Zeekr 7 GT can expect a vehicle that meets the latest European safety standards and offers a blend of performance and practicality. Those seeking a spacious electric estate with advanced safety technology and fast charging may find the 7 GT a compelling choice.
Potential customers should also be aware of the reliance on the center screen for most controls, which could affect ease of use for some drivers.
