Zeekr Expands Malaysian Dealership Network, Plans 18 Outlets by End of 2026

Zeekr Malaysia is accelerating its expansion in Southeast Asia, announcing new dealership agreements that will significantly grow its retail and service footprint. The company now operates 11 outlets across Malaysia and aims to reach 18 by the end of 2026, marking a major step in its regional strategy.

Zeekr Adds New Dealers and Outlets

Zeekr Malaysia has signed agreements with three local dealers—Quantum Motors Sdn Bhd, Wheelcorp Premium Sdn Bhd, and Ghee Hua Co Sdn Bhd—to expand its authorized sales and service network. These new partnerships cover key locations including Sri Manda City Bazaar in north Kuala Lumpur, Setia Alam, and Kuching.

With these additions, Zeekr now operates 11 dealership outlets in Malaysia. The company plans to increase this number to 18 by the end of 2026, aiming to meet growing demand for vehicle purchases and after-sales support.

Expanding Presence in East Malaysia

The opening of the Kuching outlet marks Zeekr as the first Chinese premium auto brand to establish a presence in East Malaysia. While there is not yet a fixed outlet in Sabah, Zeekr Malaysia sent a mobile after-sales team to Kota Kinabalu from June 27 to July 1, providing routine maintenance and full-vehicle inspections for local owners.

During this visit, Zeekr also offered product experiences and briefings on its service system to potential customers. The company has announced plans to open its first 3S center in Kota Kinabalu in 2027, which will provide sales, service, and spare-parts support.

Zeekr’s Entry and Growth in Malaysia

Zeekr entered the Malaysian market in December 2024 with the launch of the Zeekr 009 MPV and Zeekr X compact SUV. The company initially planned for six stores, focusing on Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Johor Bahru. Less than two years later, the network has expanded well beyond those original plans.

Recent Delivery Milestones

According to data compiled by CnEVPost, Zeekr delivered 35,169 vehicles in June, representing a 110.57% increase year-on-year and a 2.30% rise from May’s 34,377 units. In the first half of 2026, Zeekr delivered 178,370 vehicles, up 96.57% compared to the same period last year.

Why this matters

Zeekr’s rapid expansion of its dealership network in Malaysia highlights the brand’s commitment to serving a broader customer base and improving access to premium electric vehicles. The move into East Malaysia, including the use of mobile service teams, demonstrates a focus on customer support and market reach.

These developments also reflect Zeekr’s growing presence in the region and its ability to scale operations quickly in response to rising demand for EVs.

What this means for buyers

For Malaysian consumers, Zeekr’s expanding network means improved access to sales and after-sales services, especially in previously underserved regions like East Malaysia. Buyers can expect more convenient support and a wider choice of locations as the network grows.

Those interested in Zeekr vehicles should watch for the opening of new outlets and the upcoming 3S center in Kota Kinabalu, which will further enhance service availability.
