The development of Aqueous Rechargeable Zinc Battery (AZB) technology is progressing beyond laboratory confines, thanks to a breakthrough by Australian researchers. They have identified a solution to a significant corrosion problem by introducing a glycol electrolyte additive. This innovation has the potential to extend the battery lifespan by five to 20 times, transforming it from a mere few months to over three years, as revealed by a team from UNSW.
