Xiaomi’s first EV, the SU7, has 800 km range and better ADAS than Tesla



The smartphone giant Xiaomi has officially launched its inaugural car, the Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan. This electric vehicle features 875 V charging capability and a 101 kWh battery equipped with CATL cells, delivering an impressive maximum range of 800 km. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) version boasts 495 kW of power, enabling a rapid 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 2.78 seconds and reaching a top speed of 265 km/h. Xiaomi initially announced its foray into the automotive industry nearly three years ago, in 2021, on March 30. During a public speech, Lei Jun, the company’s CEO and founder, revealed Xiaomi’s ambitious plans, including a 10 billion yuan (1.4 billion USD) investment in its car manufacturing business.
