Exeed Launches 2027 Exlantix ES with Advanced Falcon 700 Intelligent Driving System

Chery’s NEV brand Exeed has introduced the 2027 model year Exlantix ES sedan, bringing significant upgrades in intelligent driving and cabin technology. The new ES, available in both extended-range and battery electric versions, aims to strengthen Exeed’s position in the competitive electric sedan market.

Intelligent Driving and Cabin Upgrades

The 2027 Exlantix ES features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip, paired with the Carmind AI large model to enhance voice interaction and system responsiveness. All models now come equipped with the Falcon 700 intelligent driving system, powered by an Nvidia Orin-Y chip.

This system utilizes a suite of 27 sensors, including 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, one LiDAR, and three millimetre-wave radars. These enable full-scenario Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) for both urban and highway driving, aiming to deliver a safer and more convenient driving experience.

Design and Features

The 2027 ES retains its fastback silhouette and frameless doors, measuring 4,945 mm (~195 inches) in length, 1,978 mm (~78 inches) in width, and 1,480 mm (~58 inches) in height, with a 3,000 mm (~118 inches) wheelbase. Exeed has expanded the exterior color palette to six options, adding ‘Warm Cloud Apricot’ and ‘Star-Chasing Silver’.

Other updates include an enhanced rear bumper and optional ‘Shadow’ sport kits, which feature interactive ISD headlights and an electric spoiler for a sportier appearance.

Powertrain and Chassis

The 2027 Exlantix ES is available in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) configurations, offering flexibility for different driving needs.

The chassis is engineered for both performance and comfort, utilizing a front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension system. This setup is complemented by Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) and an IBS intelligent brake-by-wire system.

Competitor Comparison

The Exlantix ES competes directly with the Xiaomi SU7 and BYD Han L EV in the mid-to-large electric sedan segment. The Xiaomi SU7 is priced between $31,839 (~AUD 45,651) and $44,227 (~AUD 63,413), while the BYD Han L EV ranges from $32,415 (~AUD 46,476) to $41,263 (~AUD 59,163). Both rivals are known for their advanced technology and strong market presence, making this segment highly competitive.

Historical Context

Exeed recorded global sales of 140,959 units in 2024, representing a 12.3% year-on-year increase. The brand is projected to continue its growth trend with an estimated 8-10% rise in 2025. Exeed also plans to launch more than eight new energy vehicle models in the second half of 2025, signaling ongoing expansion.

Why this matters

The launch of the 2027 Exlantix ES demonstrates Exeed’s commitment to intelligent driving and advanced cabin technology, key factors in the evolving electric vehicle market. With its comprehensive sensor suite and upgraded AI systems, the ES aims to meet growing consumer expectations for safety and convenience.

Exeed’s continued sales growth and model expansion reflect the increasing competitiveness of Chinese NEV brands in both domestic and international markets.

What this means for buyers

Buyers considering a mid-to-large electric sedan now have another advanced option with the 2027 Exlantix ES, especially for those prioritizing intelligent driving features and a modern cabin. With competitive pricing and a choice between EREV and BEV powertrains, the ES is positioned as a strong alternative to established models like the Xiaomi SU7 and BYD Han L EV.

Potential buyers should also watch for regional availability and future updates as Exeed expands its NEV lineup globally.
