Recall and warranty costs are significantly lower for electric vehicles. General motors had to deal with pretty massive warranty recalls specifically on its 5.3 L V8 engine but its warranty costs are lower than Ford’s. Ford’s warranty costs are now more than twice as high as GM’s.
