Xiaomi Skynomad N90 Max EREV SUV Completes 1,230 km Real-World Test Drive

Xiaomi’s Skynomad N90 Max, a full-size extended-range electric SUV, has completed a 1,230 km journey from Shanghai to Beijing on a single battery charge and full fuel tank. The test, overseen by Xiaomi’s deputy general manager Xu Jieyun, highlights the vehicle’s long-distance capabilities under real-world conditions.

Real-World Test Details

The Skynomad N90 Max was tested with four occupants and an additional 50 kg of cargo. During the drive, the climate control was set to 24°C, and the vehicle operated in Eco mode with a priority for electric driving. Tire pressure was maintained at 2.9 bar, and the energy recovery system was set to 80% efficiency.

Xu Jieyun reported that the average highway speed during the test was 104 km/h. The vehicle also utilized Xiaomi’s ‘Hyper Autonomous Driving’ assisted driving system throughout the journey.

Range and Efficiency Results

During the test, the Skynomad N90 Max achieved a pure electric range of 323.6 km, which is 69.7% of its claimed CLTC range. The average energy consumption in electric mode was 19.7 kWh. Once the range extender was activated, the vehicle averaged a fuel capacity of 6.7 km/h.

The total route from the 5G Future Center in Shanghai to Xiaomi’s car manufacturing facility in Beijing covered 1,230 km. After completing the trip, the car’s system indicated 54 km of remaining range, suggesting a real-world range of approximately 1,284 km, or 75.3% of the declared CLTC range.
